Flu vaccinations

Flu is an unpleasant and occasionally serious illness which can lead to children spending days in bed rather than being at school and participating in everyday family life.

In 2016, the flu vaccine is being offered to all children in special schools and primary children in years one, two and three via planned sessions at school. The sessions will be organised and staffed by the school nursing service. The vaccine is provided to children as a nasal spray.

Further informtion can be found in this information letter, or on the oxford Health NHS Trust website on this link:

The flu vaccinations will take place at St Christophers on 28 November 2016 and parents will need to complete the consent form and return this to the school BY THE END OF SEPTEMBER.
