St Christopher's C of E School
Welcome to our school
Our school is a small rural Church of England Primary School with a distinctive ethos founded on Christian values. Our vision is to have a school where:
- The uniqueness of individuals is respected and valued.
- The staff provide a safe and nurturing environment which supports children to approach their learning with an enquiring mind, courage and perseverance.
- Children’s continually evolving needs are identified and they are equipped with the skills and motivation to succeed.
- All achievements are recognised and children learn to value their own successes.
All within the loving support of our Lord Jesus Christ.
IIt was therefore very pleasing to receive the following comments in our latest OFSTED inspection report (November 2017), where we were judged as continuing to be GOOD, highlighting how the school family is living out that vision.
“Your welcoming approach and lively interest in each family helps pupils to settle quickly”
“Pupils’ well-being is given the highest priority”
“excellent pastoral support”
“Outcomes at the end of the Reception Year are consistently high”
“Pupils attain high standards at the end of key stage 1.”
“Standards at the end of Year 6 are usually in line with or above national figures”
St Christopher’s offers a happy, safe and friendly environment for children and their families. The staff team are experienced and dedicated to their roles in education. We believe in being inclusive and aim to provide an education which meets the needs of every individual. Therefore our curriculum is broad, balanced and enriched with extra learning opportunities.
